READ: Government Workers Who Worked From Home Before Now Deemed Essential
August 28, 2020
Last night, KHON2 reported government workers who were able to work from home during the first lockdown aren't allowed to this time around, which goes against the goal of stopping the spread of COVID-19.
HGEA Executive Director Randy Perreira points out that the state and city should have more people working from home now than back in March, noting some departments have embraced the concept but others are still struggling.
“There’s a lot of finger pointing between agencies, people blaming the Department of Health about not providing guidance. Ultimately though, you would think that after five months they’d get their act together a little bit better than they have today,” he said.
